Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has recently called for investment for four transportation projects in the city, according to local authorities.
The projects include work on the Ha Huy Giap Road and southern inter-provincial highways, upgrading and expanding provincial road 15, and expanding National Highway 22.

HCMC People's Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan said he has requested the Transport Department to work with relevant agencies and local People's committees to identify the scale of each project.

Additionally, People's Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tai will work with relevant agencies to expedite the implementation of two road projects, the Rach Chiec Bridge - Cat Lai Port and Phu My Bridge - Hanoi Highway sections, to address severe traffic jams at the city's gateway in District 2.
